Blood Letters color scheme question

So what do you think is the best way of painting blood letters? By this I mean what color scheme. It would seem that there are three options:

a) A rich red with highlighting and horns, black or bone? Clearly brass on the metal trims.

b) A very dark, gore red with highlighting and the same question re horns. Brass again on metal.

c) A flesh tone (heathly not decaying) with liberal splashing of blood could look really good. In thi scase a more bone horn probably and still brass for the metal with skin discoloration/bruising around these area's.

Which do you think would look better?

I like the rich red w/ bone horns, but that's purely personal aesthetic.

I hate blood splatters, I think they usually look terrible...

red skin, black horns and brass trims.

any khorne sign is painted like its flame.

sword is brass hilt and silver blade.

for my metals, the two hander axe ones, i did the 'letters skin in a red/brown, fur in a muddy red, teeth talons and horns in a dull bone, weapons in a wood & black-chainmail mix over tin bits. gave them a beast like appearance and the weapons look like cold forged steel.
