Episode 66 has Bobcat Goldthwait as the music to conception.

Postby MiggidyMack » Sat Nov 14, 2009 11:44 pm

In this weeks episode we discuss the career of Steve Guttenberg.

We delve into some of the rumors flying around and summed up on Bell of Lost Souls.

Mack tells us about "The Black Crusade" which is a giant Apocolypse event happening at Source Comics on Feb 27th that he will be flying out to attend.

We also give special thanks to Stephen Hope.

In our second segment we contemplate the nature of sportsmanship through direct examples instead of being smart or making a good show.

We also talk about some games we played.

Our third segment is all about our first rogue trader game! We need feedback... how was this segment? Come to the forums and chat with us!

For those of you still asking where to send donations... it's HERE. Every bit is greatly appreciated

Let me be the third to say I like the Rogue Trader segment of the show.

The table looks great Mack, you may want to check out War Torn Worlds for some great scatter terrain. I picked up a bunch of their stuff a few years ago at Pacificon and have been very happy with my purchase. He's even located in Sacramento so you can support a local gaming business, if you'd like.

It was a good thing I didn't have the volume too loud. What the hell?

I like the Rogue Trader segment. I'd like the pick up the book(s) and do a bit of gaming with it but school has split up my gaming group

Can you folks increase the volume of the main segments somehow? At the moment, if I adjust the volume to be reasonable for the introduction and the "This has been an episode of Dice Like Thunder..." sections, the conversations end up being too quiet. On the other hand, if I adjust my volume for the main segment, then the last ten to fifteen seconds end up with Mac shouting the licensing statement.

I thought the economic argument against comp scoring in local stores was interesting. I'm reminded of the times when I've walked into a gaming store and seen several blisters of unit-no-one-likes or IC-no-one-uses sitting on the shelf because the store can't send them back. That and the fact that a many of my metal daemons were purchased in a going out of business sale a few years back.

Concerning the Rogue Trader segment, I have two comments:
1. Every time I read the words, I have to remind myself that you mean the new role-playing game and not the old "role-playing" game.
2. Tau Pirates. Does Imperial Assassin versus Tau Pirate count as a Pirate versus Ninja fight? ;)

P.S.: Flying from California to Minneapolis in the dead of winter?!? That's above and beyond the call of duty for event organization.
Now that Mack has left, this is no longer worth listening to.

Great show!

Ian, as always, was great. His combination of outraged, lispy, vitriole is what the voice in my head sounds like when I lose my temper.

Richard what the hell? I did enjoy to commercial. Your impersonation of "The Ladies Man" was hilarious, especially when you started to lose the "voice" towards the end.

Mack, I am inspired to build my own table. It seems that your games-per-week stat has risen since the table was built. The Rogue Trader game sounds fun.
